Chipper, the handsome German Shepherd, likes to be near his family. So, it made perfect sense to bring him to their Raleigh engagement session with Latosha from Story & Rhythm.
From Latosha: “Casey and BJ’s engagement session was so much fun! I really love that they included their pal and fur baby, Chipper! He’s the sweetest German Shepard, and these guys love him so much!”
From BJ: “Casey had been asking me over and over again when we could get a dog. She wanted a smaller, female dog, but I grew up with a German Shepherd always by my side. So we ‘compromised’ and got a male German Shepherd. She conceded that we could get a GSD because she knew how much I love them, but she got naming rights. So we got Chipper ‘Bones’ (after Chipper Jones) when he was eight weeks old, and he’s been an integral part of our lives ever since.
We try to take him with us everywhere we can to make sure he is very well socialized. He’s an amazing dog in public and hopefully a great ambassador to the breed by showing people that GSD’s aren’t all scary. He is INCREDIBLY ball driven and would gladly run into traffic to chase his ball. He’s never been the social one at the dog park if a ball is nearby. Much to Casey’s chagrin, affection is not one of Chipper’s strong suits. He doesn’t give out licks very often and is typically just out of arms reach. Chipper enjoys the occasional morning belly rub but would much rather meet you at the back door with a ball in his mouth.
Even if he doesn’t want to be beside us, he always has to be near us or at least knows where we are. He’ll scour the house looking for us. He is the goodest of boys.”
