As a kid, my family had a VW Bus and it was one of the best things of our childhood. Ours was a camper, and we had many adventures in it. My sisters and I all not so secretly hope to have another VW bus in our lives in the future. So you can imagine how excited I was to see this dog-friendly lifestyle session from Leah Hargrove Photography. 
From Leah: “This session was so special! Michelle reached out to me about a session with her dog, who was getting older in age. She wanted to capture these precious memories with her before it was too late. They also wanted to use their VW Bus since they love driving in it together! 
Gracie was adopted as a puppy from a rescue organization. From day one, she has been Michelle’s most special dog. Going on daily runs, family camping trips, and long car rides. 
From a puppy till now, Gracie always wants to be by Michelle’s side. It was always a dream of Michelle’s to own a VW bus. So the two of them love going on drives in the bus with the windows open and the wind in their hair/fur. 
Gracie is 15 1/2 years old now. She is really slowing down, and our time with her is short. 
These photos capture a special moment between the two of them. The love for our special Gracie will always be with us.”

wow! What a great idea to use a VW bus. It’s so awesome not only for photos!
I love the bus. We always picked our vehicle to have plenty of room for our dog(s). We had a bus once, though it was just a small bus that the city used to transport of disabled citizens. On the other hand, it had a wheelchair lift so that was very handy when Jasmine had mobility issues.
I love Gracie’s smile! She has eyes that are full of good memories with her human. That is one of the most beautiful things about having a senior pet in your life – you can see the love in their eyes. The VW bus was a fun idea for a photo shoot. I think that Leah will cherish these photos for years to come. 🙂

What a beautiful and unique photo shoot! Gracie is just adorable, and I never would have guessed from these pictures that she’s that old. Having a senior dog now myself may make me biased, but senior dogs are the best!
