Finn, the Corgi, was the perfect muse for this dog-friendly engagement session with Morgan Lee Photography in Alexandria, Virginia. Finn even had a Save the Date sign and a bow tie for some of the pictures!
From Morgan: “Amanda and Jake met in college in 2010. After years of friendship, they decided to make their relationship official. Jake went to work in Washington, D.C., while Amanda went to live in New York. The moment I started talking with Amanda about their wedding day, it was clear they wanted to include their fur baby, Finn, in both the wedding plans and their engagement session.
I was more than happy to accommodate, being dog-obsessed as well. Amanda and Jake were happy to do their session in the park behind their apartment, as they frequently walk and play with Finn there. From the moment I pulled out my camera, Finn was picture perfect. He’s perfected the ‘Corgi smile,’ and he tried to steal the show. 
I just love these photos of their little family. Jake and Amanda chose to have an outfit change, and so it’s only right that Finn changed into a dapper bow tie as well for their more formal photos.
I love capturing my couple’s personalities during their engagement session, and when their dogs are involved, I feel like I get to know them even better. Oh, the pictures always turn out pretty cute too.”
From Amanda: “Finn is the best thing in our lives. Jake and I openly tell one another ‘I love Finn more than you.’
Finn is a major goofball and LOVES attention. When we’re on walks, as soon as he sees another person or dog, he lays down on the ground and patiently waits for them to notice him. He’s a Corgi, so naturally, he has his own sassy and unique personality.
Our friends and family are constantly asking about how Finn is and love when they receive pictures of him. Whether Finn is sleeping on our heads at night or terrorizing the neighborhood crows, every day is a new adventure with him and we wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s not just a dog to us, he is family.”
