Jenkins, the Frenchie, stole the show in his humans’ engagement session and he’s back hogging the limelight in their First Look photos with Jessica Hunt Photography.
From Jess: “This sweet couple, their incredibly adorable dog, and By Invitation Only Event Planning and Design’s work helped to make this wedding day one of my favorites.
Iris and Brian opted for a First Look on their wedding day! I absolutely love wedding days with First Looks. The couple shared their sweet wedding-day-look-reveal moment, and then we begin to photograph them together for their formal portraits. One of my favorite things about photographing Iris and Brian is the ease with which they laugh together. The entire day, both of these two wore joyful smiles and laughed together often. Photographing them was easy; I didn’t have to ask for big smiles and fake laughs once! You might recognize this cute little furry face in the next few photos; Iris and Brian‘s Frenchie, Jenkins, has graced the blog before with all of his cuteness.
I was so happy when Iris told me she wanted to have Jenkins come to the wedding for photos. He was such a cute addition to their engagement photos and totally stole the show for a few moments during their portraits around 701 Whaley in Columbia.
Jenkins joined us for a few more photos with the couple’s wedding party, and we had a blast photographing them and all of their friends at 701 Whaley. I absolutely love how joyful and relaxed not only Brian and Iris look in these photos, but also their entire wedding party! We truly had such a great time working through their photos before the ceremony.”
Although Jenkins was only there for the First Look photos, Iris and Brian found a creative way to include him all night.
In addition to signature cocktails named after Jenkins and their cat, there were cozies with Jenkin’s likeness.

These pictures are so precious! I wish that I could have had our dogs (and cats) there on our wedding day, however, we did a semi-destination wedding, getting married up in the general area of where I grew up at a resort. That’s approximately a 6-7 hour drive, depending on traffic, away from our current house and at a resort that wasn’t pet-friendly. The best option was to trust a pet sitter here that we knew would take care of them. That being said, we did have an adorable custom cake topper that showcased all 4 of our pets at the time. It is a memory that we will hold onto and cherish over the years… Especially considering the fact that one of our dogs at the time is no longer with us.

I know where this is!!! It’s about 10 miles from my home and I pass this building every time I go to a football game. I’ve heard that Frenchies are becoming very popular.
