Best (Wedding) Dog: Franny | Bexley, Ohio

Franny, the greyhound, was a beautiful dog of honor at a beautiful in Bexley, Ohio.   Columbus wedding photographer, Amanda Lauren Collective, captured these precious moments of Franny and her humans.

From Amanda: “Like many 2020 couples, Megan and Chase had their wedding plans derailed by Covid. They had originally planned to be married in front of all of their family in friends in the Fall of 2020. Unfortunately, they had to change their plans due to the pandemic. Instead of having the big wedding they had dreamed of, they had an intimate ceremony with close relatives and made plans to have their dream wedding once things started to get better. In October 2021, they were able to renew their wedding vowels in front of all their family and friends as originally intended. They even included their dog, Franny, in the ceremony.”

From Megan: “Chase and I adopted Franny through Central Ohio Greyhound Rescue about two years ago. Franny loves to go for long hikes, run at the dog park, play with her stuffed animals, cuddle with friends and family, and, most of all, flop on the ground and beg for belly rubs from anyone in eyeshot.

Franny is such a big part of our life, and as such, we wanted to make sure that she was included in our wedding. She wore a handmade floral collar, “dog of honor” bandana, and tutu (which she tried to remove the entire time). She greeted every guest as she made her way down the aisle. We feel so fortunate that she was able to participate and that our photographer, Amanda, captured shots we will cherish for years to come. “
