My favorite gift to give kids is a stuffed animal. They are cute, cuddly, and most importantly, I think they encourage creative play. It broke my heart a little each time one of my kids outgrew their stuffed animals.
However, when we adopted Theo, I was delighted to discover that he loves stuffed toys.
Theo is the king of plush toys. If he loves one, he carries around from room to room and gently chews on it. Or else he tears into like it is screaming personal insults at him. Theo is a master at destuffing toys and destroying the squeakers. It used to cause me some mental anguish when Theo destroyed one, but I know that he is having fun. I always look for ones that are well-made with safe materials, and of course, they have to be cute.
When I saw the ZippyPaws Storybook Fiesta Line on Amazon, I wanted all the toys. And I hoped that Theo would love them as well. They are adorable and made with high-quality materials and care.
Theo must have thought it was his birthday; he never gets more than one new toy at a time! 
Since I’m also a plant lover, I needed Carmen the Cactus. She is so cute that I bought two. I figured it was safest to let Theo test her first since I had a backup. 
Theo grabbed Carmen and ran all over the room with her in a state of frenzied excitement. After a few minutes of zooming around, he started to chew on her, testing out her squeaker and stitching. The squeaker is exclusive to ZippyPaws. Their engineers created the crescent and jiggler squeakers for different sounds.
She checked out just fine! Since Carmen survived the photoshoot, I gave the second one to Alice’s dog, Darla, who was quite distraught that we didn’t pick her as our model.
Liam, the llama, is my favorite, and Theo was excited to check him out as well.
We also both love Avocado.
I bought a Zippy Burrow (the Piñata toy) on a whim, as we’ve never had a burrowing toy, and frankly, I didn’t think my dogs would like it. Much to my surprise, Theo adores it. After the photoshoot, Theo claimed the Piñata and the candies as his new number one toy. He carries them from room to room and naps with them too. The candies have squeakers, but the Piñata does not.
After a month of having daily access to both Carmen the Cactus and the Piñata toy, I can highly recommend them to dogs who play gently to moderately with their toys. Even though Theo plays with the Piñata toy every single day, it still looks brand new. Carmen no longer squeaks, but her squeaker lasted longer than most of the toys we get.
The Sugar Skull toy is extra tough. He doesn’t have any stuffing, which means less cleanup IF Theo can tear into him.
If I saw ZippyPaws Storybook toys in a store, I would think they were designed for toddlers. They are so cute and cuddly. I guess dogs really are the new kids!

My dog tears these up within minutes. I am hoping to find ones that he can’t tear up so quickly. The toys are super cute!
Although ZippyPaws, in general, seem to be sturdier than most plush toys, your dog might like the Sugar Skull. It is a lot tougher than a regular plush toy.

Theo Looks very happy with his new toys. My dachshund Loved plush toys with squeakers as well.. but they only lasted a few minutes as he would tear them up. He loved every second of it though. 🙂
The rainbow pinata toy and candies in your pictures is just so cute.. I may have to look into that one.
I love the ZippyPaws pinata! Does Theo get the “candies” out by himself? You could probably hide other small toys in there as well.
I love the Pinata and would love to get that for Layla although I am ashamed to say she has a basket full of toys, about 50 of them and maybe plays with the same three only LOL. She still has her poodle I got her when she arrived from the shelter.
These are adorable! I don’t have any pets anymore, but when I used to have a dog, we gave him tons of stuffed toys to play with!
These toys are so incredibly adorable! Theo looks so stinkin excited too. Awww! I wish I didn’t have such insane toy destroyers in my house. I love Zippy Paws but only 2 of my dogs can handle playing with any kind of stuffed toy without having the urge to go all commando on them.

I love the avocado. My dog likes toys, though doesn’t have a favourite specifically (just some he likes more than others). I like that he doesn’t rip them apart, but that means he has many. He has a friend though (a lab) who rips them apart within seconds – so I have to put the ones I like up high when she visits.
I love ZippyPaws toys. They are so cute and perfect for Kilo the Pug. He spends hours chewing and carries them around too. I have not tried the Pinata but I think it would be great as he likes puzzles (but I hide treats).
I was a fan of stuffed animals too when I was a kid. I loved animals over Barbie dolls anyday. I have a new foster and he loves his stuffed bunny. LOL These zippy paw stuffed toys are cute and unique. These would make great gifts too.
I don’t think these would last more than 30 seconds for Cookie, but they are definitely cute.
OMG!!!! If I had a dog I would LOVE to get them these. They sound more durable than many toys on the market today that people complain about.

How nice to have a dog who doesn’t destroy a stuffed toy in 10 minutes! I love stuffed animals as well. I just wish my dogs didn’t rip them to shreds. Rufus loves removing the stuffing – it’s actually pretty funny to watch him do it as he’s so meticulous about it and never swallows the fluff.
Yep, even when Theo takes out all the stuffing, I know it was a lot of fun for him. So far these ones are holding up.

My mom’s dog loves stuffed toys, but he tears them up pretty quickly. I still have a lot of stuffed cat toys in my guest bedroom even though I’m 60+ years old.

I never heard of a burrowing toy, what a great idea! I’d get one for Buffy, but with her being blind, squeaky toys are best. I think she’d love the cactus.
Those are the cutest dog toys I’ve ever seen. Adorable. I imagine a serious chewer dog would be able to wreck them pretty quickly but dogs that play instead of search and destroy would get great value out of it. The cactus is precious.

How adorable! I really love the llama! You can certainly tell Theo adores them too. One of the few things my pup doesn’t get are toys. Apparently, his original family didn’t give him toys and he just doesn’t understand the concept. It breaks my heart. I would love to get him these stuffed animals. Thanks for sharing!
