Dog Pawty: Thor

I’ve never been one to want a big birthday party, but how I love my birthday cake.  I want it to look good and taste delicious!  Kimberly Macdonald recently gave her dog the perfect birthday celebration in my opinion:  a fun pittie party with the one of the most tempting cakes I’ve ever seen.  (Tell me I’m not the only one who wants to taste it!)

From Kimberly:  “Thor was adopted by husband, Trent from Sonoma County Animal Shelter about 2.5 years ago when Thor was four months old. Trent vividly remembers going to all the cages and Thor putting his sweet head in Trent’s hand, he was sold. Poor Thor was found left in an abandoned home with no food; we are so fortunate he was found. Trent makes jokes that Thor completely ‘played him good’ with his soft eyes and gentleness. 

Little did Trent know Thor was a vivacious young Pitbull/Box mix who later on we figured out is completely deaf.  Training Thor has been difficult, but as he is aging, he is slowly but surely calming down.

He LOVES people, and that’s a complete understatement. Every person who sits on our couch is guaranteed to be snuggled, licked head to toe, and adored by Thor.  Thor is loved by us and his brother Tyson so we, of course, had to return the love by giving him a wonderful birthday.

Three Dog Bakery in Sonoma provided him with a wheat-free dog cake with peanut butter frosting. He loved it!”
