I am super excited about today’s post! I’ve long admired Australian photographer, Charlotte Reeves. I was positively giddy when she sent me some over the top amazing photos. The kind that just makes me feel “if this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up!” I’m so happy to share these stunning photos of an awesome Great Dane named Charge.
I doubt there is a better name for him than Charge, unless its “Charge the Magnificent”. It seems like there should be epic music playing whenever he runs.
The Gold Coast has a dog friendly beach that is home to a regular meeting of Great Danes. I think that seeing that alone would be worth the cost of airfare to Australia!
Charge is two years old. I love his long tongue and shiny coat!
I have yet to go to Australia, but I have always wanted to and after seeing this photo session I REALLY want to go! These were taken on the Gold Coast, perhaps named after the golden light?
Isn’t he just breath taking?
You can see more of Charge on Charlotte’s blog. If you aren’t already familiar with Charlotte’s photography, you are in for a huge treat!

Can we all take a field trip to the Gold Coast? So many beautiful photographs by Charlotte Reeves! I especially love those gorgeous silhouettes.
That close-up image of him is to die for! Love the silhouettes too…just gorgeous.
I love that first running image! And I want to join the field trip!
so cool
Haha – you’re all welcome to come over and check out Australia! The Gold Coast is a great place to shoot, I’m lucky to live nearby. Thanks for your kind words about my work. 🙂
Wonderful work! And Charge is amazing! I’m in for the field trip too!
My Awesome Boy!! Charlotte did such a great job of our photo session.
She certainly did! He’s amazing 🙂
You should ALL come down – 1st Sunday of each month we gather on the Gold Coast beach – up to 30 Danes can be there – and they all play together! It is a sight to behold!!!
Oh wow! If I ever make it to Australia I will be sure to be at the Gold Coast beach on the first Sunday of the month! It must be incredible!
My family are the humans who organise the monthly “Danes On The Beach” walks and I have the best fun running around with Charge and all my other normal sized doggy friends.
If anyone would like to follow our events we have a Facebook group called “Brisdanes” where there are lots of photos of my friends and me playing on the beautiful Gold Coast beach.
Awesome! Love the name “Brisdanes”!
Wow, this is amazing. The photography is awesome and Charge is such a beautiful dog!
I have loved Charlotte’s work for SO long and these images are exactly why. So diverse, so true to Charge it seems, and I love those amazing silhouettes. Fabulous!
I love the silhouette shots – what a great way to end a pet photography session.
