When we were growing up, our family always had at least one dog, and I was always taking one outside to play with me. These photos by Brooke from Hamilton Creek Photography capture the joy of having kids and a dog.
From Brooke: Mosie the dog joined this family session and was the perfect addition. I’ve photographed Reagan, the little girl, several times before, this was definitely the most relaxed she has ever been in front of the camera, and I know we have Mosie to thank for that. They are best of friends, and I think you can see the love and excitement of having their special friend with them for family photos this year. We had an a amazing location of lush Florida greenery amongst large exposed root trees, and perfect Fall weather. The session definitely started out with lots of giggles as Mosie had to go to the bathroom right next to me as we were about to start! We all think the giggles in those images are priceless!
From Tasha: “ Brooke did an amazing job more than I could ever asked for. Mosie is 8 years old, she is full breed Cocker Spaniel that we got as a puppy. She is friendly, lovable and does not know one command but, we love her for that. You can’t teach a dog love, she has more to give then someone can ever ask. She NEVER barks, loves car rides, playing dress up with Reagan and watching doc mcstuffin, we leave that on during the day for her, she loves that show. Mosie always put Reagan to bed at night, stands at the door to say good bye,and loves picking up the kids from school.
Mosie and Reagan have an amazing bond, its very close. Recently Reagan split her head open, Mosie freaked out passing the house, barking ( she never barks) and when I left for the ER, she never left the front door with Reagan’s favorite stuff animal. Its truly a bond, I am so filled with joy she has this.
Mosie is our child, people say dogs are a pet, true, but Mosie is family, a child and part of our hearts. She was there through my pregnancy, late night feedings, and stayed by their cribs when they cried, that’s not just a pet that’s an extension of our hearts.”
