Beach sessions are some of my favorite sessions of all! This one is bittersweet because Penny has since passed away. Zoe Grant took these photos last summer and I know that these images bring back so many good memories for Penny and those who loved her.
From Whitney: “We did the shoot as a surprise for my fiancé for his birthday. Penny was a black lab/retriever mix. She was rescued from Virginia Beach Animal Control in 2003. At 12 years young she still loved to play at the beach, take long car rides and snuggle with anyone who’s willing! She had the LONGEST tongue out of any pup I’ve ever seen, and she’d use it too! She loved to give kisses or “moomies” to all who loved on her.
We lost our Penny on March 26th. She left this world surrounded by her favorite people. She’s our puppy angel now.”
I know the world is a little darker for Penny’s family and friends, but I am sure they cherish these photos. Penny was featured on Zoë’s blog in September.

Beth, thank you for bringing back these memories! That shoot was such a fun day. She was the most loved dog in the world.
