Happy Tails: Sprinkles

I am loving this beautiful family session sent in by Marianne Barta from Black Box Photography with  Angela, Gabe and their adorable Yorkie, Sprinkles.  Although Marianne lives in Northeast Ohio, these photos were taken on a recent trip  to Arizona.

From Angela:  “When Sprinkles came into our lives two years ago, she started out as a sick puppy.   She was suffering from seizures caused by low blood sugars.  They initially thought she may have had a congenital liver defect, but all of her tests came back negative.  After several vet visits and a hospital stay Sprinkles was diagnosed with Toy-breed hypoglycemia.  She was finally stabilized and came home to us, but had to be fed by syringe every two hours.  It was pretty hectic for a few months.  Happily she  pulled through and has not looked back.  She turned 2 years old in October and still has all of her puppy energy.  Sprinkles is very easy to fall in love with.  She is just as sweet and inviting as the cupcakes she was named after!  Sprinkles has never met a stranger, loves to greet anyone she meets dog or human alike.  She loves to go out on walks or take a trip.  She is happy to jump into her travel carrier at a moment’s notice.  Besides being a social butterfly she also enjoys relaxing at home.  Sprinkles loves to bask in a spot of sunshine coming through the window and take a nap.   She is a good listener, especially if it involves getting a treat for doing it.”

I am particularly smitten with Sprinkles because she reminds me of my one of own childhood dogs, a Yorkie named Polly.   Polly lived to be 17 years old and will forever be a bright spot in my heart.   I can tell Sprinkles has the same effect on Angela and Gabe.
