Dogs come in all shapes and sizes and take different paths to find their ways into their homes and hearts of people who love them. Some like Ginger claim a human’s heart before they are ready to leave their mother, and others have to wait a while to meet just right the person. In the case of Border Collie-mix Luna, she met two: Mary and Jarrett. I’m loving these sweet photos of Luna and her new forever family by Karen Allen Photography.
From Karen: “This adorable Luna-girl is full of life and LOVES to play!! She is sweet and rambunctious but mixed with a side of clumsy as sometimes her back legs don’t quite get the message quick enough that her front legs have switched directions and she becomes a tumble of black and white fur. But take heart, because it has never once phased her! Adopted from Paula’s Dog House in New Jersey at about 20 weeks, Luna already had a torn knee ligament and had to be on bed rest for 4 weeks. Imagine, a puppy on bed rest! Now she is healed and just as feisty, fun, and sweet as can be. As a border collie mix, she adores to ‘herd’ people around, and although you may think she is keeping you company, she is probably just herding you along in the direction she wants you to go. Mary and Jarrett have provided Luna with a forever home where she is adored and loved by all.”
In addition to Luna, Mary and Jarrett have pet rats. And … the rats like to go for bike rides! Be sure to check out Luna’s family feature on Karen’s blog!

Yay! Thank you SO much! Luna is such a happy, delightful girl. 🙂 And I know Mary will be thrilled that you gave her “rat babies” an honorable mention.
What a gorgeous family! And little Luna is a gem! Beautiful photos!!
OMG this girl is sooo cute, and her forever family looks awesome. Also love the rat photos on Karen’s Blog.
