I know I’m not alone when I say as much as I love puppies, I’m also a total sucker for senior dogs. Their gray muzzles and sweet eyes get me every time! This bright and cheerful session sent in by San Diego pet photographer, Terran Bayer from Westway Studio captures the joy that senior dog Kona shares with her family.
From Terran: “Kona is a Staffordshire Terrier/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is almost 10 years old and was rescued from one of the San Diego Humane Society’s local branches. Kona is seriously loved… And she knows it. She has her parents wrapped around her little paws. Kona rules the household and no place is off limits… The grass in the backyard, the lawn chairs, the sunny porch, the bed… It’s all hers.”
When her parents told me she loves whipped cream, my first thought was, “I have to see this!” and my second thought was, “how did they ever figure that out?” Well, when Kona’s parents have their coffee in the morning, they like to put a little whipped cream on it… And Kona decided she needed to get in on the action, too. So at the end of our session, they broke out the whipped cream and, boy, was Kona happy! We were all laughing hysterically as Kona licked, licked, licked, and licked some more. I think my favorite part was seeing the whipped cream stuck on the bottom of her chin.
