I am hopeful that the recent snow inspired people to get photos of their dogs. However, if you need more convincing to book a winter photography session, we’ve got you covered. Aria the Australian Shepherd claimed the spotlight in this family photo session with Jennifer Lourie Photography. These photos were taken in Big Bear, California.
From Brittany: “Almost five and half years ago, I set out on the adventure of Aria. Everything seemed to fall into place; and I had convinced the household to add a furry roommate, scoured online for many days, found an ad with blurry photos, and drove an hour and a half out of the city. The criteria were; the new creature should be female, a shepherd/collie/cattle mix, and past the puppy stage. I was raised with this breed and knew and loved them well.
Once I arrived, it was instant love. A bundle of barks and nervous energy, this little girl stole my heart. Her name was Flurry, and I didn’t want to let her out of my sight. Her previous owner had a large heart but a giant population of animals; an enormous gaggle of cats and just a few too many poodles, so she decided to give her to me for free. Within moments, I knew I could never give up this precious girl.
The beginning was hard, yet rewarding. Months of training, bribing with treats that everything was okay, and even bringing her to my work, so she didn’t have a moment alone created our first and unbreakable bond. These past years have evolved into the best of my life with Aria at my side; every hike, trip, drive, and journey helps create positive light and happiness in both my life and hers that would have otherwise not been there.
She has helped me welcome a new look on life over the year and wooed us a companion for the last four years, and with him, he makes this a family.”
