As much of the Northeast is covered in white stuff and leaving the house is no easy task, I thought I’d share a perfect sunny day. This gorgeous dog aptly named Bella was photographed by Kira DeDecker. Her colorful, vibrant photography tempts me to move to Arizona every time I get tired of rain and snow.
From Kira: “Bella is the apple of her dad’s eye so for his birthday, Bella’s mom set up a surprise session featuring his girl Bella to showcase her energy and vibrancy. Bella is a rescue, so her exact age is unknown but she is estimated to be around eleven years old – something many find hard to believe it since she has the energy of a young puppy! “
From Bella’s mom: “Bella was our very first rescue. We got her ten years ago this May from the Petfinder website. We think she was about a year old or so when we got her. I believe she has some Staffy in her but something else would explain why she is not so thick as a real Staffy. She is a fabulously loyal best friend! I foster a lot of dogs from various rescue groups and Bella is so patient and good with all of them!! She has def earned the nickname Sweety Petey (after the Little Rascals Dog). My most recent rescue, Mia, is all of five pounds and Bella is so gentle with her! All three of our rescues have brought so much joy & laughter… our home would not be the same without them!”
Bella’s dad says that these photos were the best gift he ever received. If you are at a loss for what to get your special someone for Valentine’s Day, I recommend a portrait session! Most photographers offer gift certificates.
