Often times photographers are so busy photographing other people’s lives that they neglect to photograph their own. Fortunately that isn’t the case for Willow and Corbin, two lucky dogs that belong with Nat and Bill from Photo Lab Pet Photography.
From Nat: “I had been wanting to take my own two dogs to the snow for a while, and a friend (and her dogs) and I finally just drove up there to spend the day. I think doing personal work, for yourself, photographing what you love is a great way to perfect your craft, and stay in love with it. I loved what the snow did for my black dog’s coats and eyes, it was a giant reflector! Overall, I think the dogs had fun, and none more than Willow, our adopted 1-year old Shepherd/Kelpie mix (Sonoma Humane Society) who took to the snow like a natural. I think I took some of my favorite photographs of my 8-year old black lab, Corbin ( Petfinder.com), as he gets older, his face gets even sweeter. Our little buddy Elvis Presley (a your-guess-is-as-good-as-mine mix) belongs to our friend Carol, she found him as a stray while visiting the real Elvis Presley’s childhood home in Tupelo. We’ve photographed Elvis numerous times, but it never gets old, he’s just so cool!”
You can see a lot more of Willow and Corbin on Nat and Bill’s blog, Tales from the Lab.

I love the Photo Lab! Such a great blog. Nat cares so deeply about dogs and behavior; it really shows in the way that she watches them as a photographer and writes about them on her blog.
