Happy Friday! I hope you have a very relaxing, and fun-filled weekend! I am excited to share a new music video this week from animal lover Dean Jones and his band “Dog on Fleas.” (Scroll down for video.) Dean is pictured here with his dog, Trooper.

Trooper is a rescue dog. He was one of the many lost dogs running loose around Long Island after Hurricane Sandy. Trooper had a broken leg, an ear problem and was a “nervous wreck,” according to Dean. Fortunately, Dean and his family adopted Trooper from the SPCA in Hudson River Valley, giving him a safe home. While no one is exactly sure of Trooper’s breed, Dean’s best guess is that Trooper is a mix of German Shorthair Pointer and Dachshund.
Dogs influence our lives in so many ways. Some people change jobs, others work hard to provide for their dogs, and some are inspired creatively by their dogs. In fact, all of the songs found on Dean’s album “In My Dreams” were heavily influenced by his walks with Trooper.
