June is graduation month around here, which means it is also time to for the juniors to book their senior portrait sessions. Senior portraits have changed so much over the years. In addition to the classic head and shoulders shot for the yearbook, it is refreshing to have senior photos that actually reflect the individual. I love this beautiful senior portrait of a girl and her dog by Alice G Patterson Photography.

Oh wow, I just love that photo!! Gorgeous!!
Healing thoughts Franny.
Love this post and wish I had taken my yearbook pic with my dogs
When we lived in California, my older sister had her senior portrait taken with one of our dogs, but we moved to Pennsylvania when I was a junior. The photographers had a no dogs allowed/studio only policy for senior portraits. I hated my photo, they wouldn’t even let me smile because I had braces.
What a fabulous photo. Will have to check out more. Love that you share posts too. X Susie (at BlogPaws)
What a great idea for pets to be allowed in senior photos. If I were to have any professional pictures taken of me, I would want my dogs in them too for sure!
What a lovely photo. That was unheard of in my day, to have school pics taken with your pet. I love it.
Love the video too, of course. What oafs. 🙂 Thanks!
Awe thanks for sharing this Beth and for all the nice comments! I really do love it when my seniors bring their dogs along. I’m happy to report that although Franny is currently uncomfortable from the surgery, she did very well and is expected to heal fine! xoxo
What a beautiful girl and a beautiful photo. I wish I could have had my beautiful German Shepherd in my high school photo.
Just loved that portrait! As a photographer I love captures like this! She does beautiful work! I would love to have had my dogs and/or horse in my senior portrait! Healing vibes sent to Franny!
Franny seems to be recovering pretty well. Thanks for your kind thoughts for her!
If I got to redo my senior portraits, I would DEFINITELY include pets! This photo is so beautiful. How do you choose what photographers/photos to feature??
We missed you at BlogPaws – next year, maybe? 🙂
One day I hope to make it there. I hope you had a great time!
