Pit City Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Auburn, New York. Its dedicated to helping animals in need, including those who were abused, neglected or at risk of being destroyed at a kill shelter. I was delighted when my friend, wedding and portrait photographer, Erica Hasenjager sent me those photos. Erica spent a chilly Saturday afternoon volunteering her time to photograph these sweet pitties who are in need of homes.
Ginger has been looking for a new family for far too long, just over 400 days….its time to help this girl find her forever family. She was found tied to a tree and was suffering from frostbite. Ginger has been to obedience school and has stolen many hearts. She is selective and would do best in a home without female dogs or any cats. For the perfect match, her adoption fee is being sponsored. This isn’t an April Fool’s joke, if you are approved as her forever family, you won’t have to pay her adoption fee.
Jada is a happy well adjusted dog. She has lived in a home environment all of her life and is good with people, dogs and cats. Sadly, her previously family couldn’t afford her vet bills for skin allergies and turned Jada over to Pit City Rescues.
Zara is about a year old and is very gentle. She started out being shy, but is warming up and now enjoys any gesture of kindness.
Coco was transferred out of a NYC shelter and is incredibly friendly and good with other dogs. She is about 11 months old and loves all dogs, especially Jada. Coco loves toys, exercise and play time and would do great in a home with another dog/dogs that have the same playful energy ! Coco is so good with other dogs she is used to help assess other dogs’ temperaments.
You can see more of these dogs on Erica’s blog.
