I have so much empathy for this sweet dog. Heidi is somewhat of an introvert, preferring a quiet environment to a noisy one. She is polite and well-mannered and loves other dogs. Since she doesn’t enjoy crowds, she stays away from the adoption events. Heidi just needs a little PR to help her forever family find her. Jen Bergren from Fetchlight Pet Lifestyle Photography took these wonderful photos of Heidi. Heidi is up for adoption from Aussies and Others Rescue in San Diego.
From Jen: “Heidi has been fostered in a home at Aussie and Others Rescue San Diego for close to two years. She is shy, though has become more comfortable around people as time has passed. I realized it had been more than a year since I photographed her, so took some extra time to re-do her photos, to give her more time to get comfortable and freshen up her look online, maybe getting some new interest in a forever home for her! She is too shy to go to adoption events, they would just stress her out, so not many potential adopters get to see her in person. She’s a sweet girl, and even my reactive dog Tawny gets along with her.”
From Aussie Rescue in San Diego: “Heidi is a 3 year old Mini Aussie/Border Collie mix who weighs about 25 lbs. Heidi was a very shy and scared girl when she first came to us, but she has blossomed in her foster home, and we feel she is ready to find her furever family.
Heidi is not reactive or aggressive, just a little shy when she first meets people. Once she gets to know you, she is very playful and quite funny.
She is looking for a loving, patient, quiet home where she has another doggie friend to play with and keep her company. She LOVES other dogs and gets along with all sizes. A nice sized yard would be ideal, because she prefers to play in her own yard vs. public parks/beaches. She is leash trained and does walk well, but is not a fan of all the ‘city noise.’ She is house trained and loves her crate. All Heidi needs is a loving and patient family that can help her build a little more confidence.”
Heidi is a sweet and shy girl who has been overlooked for far too long! Can you help this girl find her forever home?
