Today I’m featuring a handsome boy who has been a breeder for a puppy mill. Thanks to National Mill Dog Rescue, this dog and thousands of others have been rescued from often times horrendous conditions.
NMDR’s mission is to RESCUE, REHABILITATE and RE-HOME discarded breeding dogs and to educate the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry.
“My name is Dasher, and I am rather dashing if I do say so myself. I’m an 8 yr old, 12 1/2 pound, male Silky Terrier. I’m a real sweetheart and would love to come home with you! I’m learning to walk on a leash and doing well with it, so I would probably be fine even if you don’t have a fenced yard. I don’t think I would like it if little children were jumping around me, so kids ages 8+ are best. I can’t wait to meet you!”
Dasher’s adoption fee is $150. Click here to complete an adoption application. Click here to see our other available dogs. National Mill Dog Rescue is also on Facebook.

He is gorgeous! Thanks for joining the blog hop and I’m off to share!
Sadly he probably produced many handsome puppies for profit through the years. Will share his story
Dasher has such an expressive little face! It sounds like National Dog Mill Rescue does great work. I hope the little guy finds a home soon.
Wow. Gorgeous dog. Gorgeous photos! So very thankful he’s been rescued from true doggie prison (dare I say, concentration camp). I’ll be sharing Dasher. Thanks so much for participating in the Tuesday’s Tails hop and your support of our new Facebook page.
Dasher’s eyes are magnificent! Someone is sure to fall under the spell of such a face!
What a cute dog. Sounds like NMDR does some great work. Thanks for sharing Dasher’s story.
I hope Dasher finds a loving home soon. Sharing.
Sheba.
Dasher is dashing indeed! I hope he gets to go home soon, we will share.
What a beautiful dog. Sorry his life was so rough for so many years. Now if he could just get into a home, he can settle in, relax and enjoy his retirement. Wishing him the best.
