New England is beautiful in every season, but fall is my favorite. Vermont wedding photographer, Cat Cutillo, photographed Winnie, the Llewellin Setter, and her humans. Cat lovers will enjoy seeing their cat in a few photos as well.
From Cat: “I had such a fun time getting to know Nellie and Trevor and their amazing fur-family during this fall engagement shoot. Their dog, Winnie (short for Winifred), is more human-like than most people. Winnie is an eight-year-old Llewellin Setter, or at least they’re pretty sure she is. She was adopted, so her exact age and pedigree aren’t entirely known. Nellie is a small animal veterinarian and a clear animal whisperer. They also have a hilarious cat named Cholula Parsnip (inspired by the items on their kitchen table when they brought her home for the first time). Cholula Parsnip followed us around the block as we shot this engagement shoot.
After capturing images in the colorful fall foliage around their beautiful hilltop house, we headed to downtown Quechee, Vermont, to capture more engagement photography near the Quechee Covered Bridge and Simon Pearce falls. This family is so full of love, laughter, and they are devoted to their fur-babies. They used a decorative plate with a portrait resembling their dog as the jewelry holder to capture their engagement ring detail photos. And although Winnie couldn’t be present on their wedding day, they had her commemorated as a cookie portrait for each place setting.”
From Nellie: “Winnie’s full name is Winifred Gangles, the Snuggle Smuggler. I adopted her when she was about a year old, and she’s 8.5 now. When Trevor (my husband) first met her, he thought she was prissy – she’s sweet and cuddly and very relaxed in the house, and everyone thinks she’s so beautiful. We laugh about that now — he figured out the truth pretty quickly — when you let her outside, she’s really into getting as dirty as possible. We have two ponds near our house – a clear one that’s beautiful to sit by, where we could go swimming, and a small mud pond with frogs. She spent so much time this year fully immersed in the mud hole and trying (unsuccessfully) to catch frogs that the neighbors put up a sign and named it ‘Winnie’s Wallow.’ She never goes into the clean one!
Cholula Parsnip or ‘C.P’ is the house boss. She’s also the provocative younger sibling – her favorite thing to do is walk on Winnie when she’s sleeping! Occasionally they actually snuggle, and it is heartwarmingly adorable.”
