These family photos of DFW wedding planner Alexa Kay are a perfect reminder that pets are family! Her pups, Rye and Remy are both Mini Australian Shepherds and are so cute! 
Dallas lifestyle photographer Monika Normand took these photos nearly 18 months ago, and while I’m sure Rye has grown, I bet he is still adorable!
From Alexa: “Rye is the newest addition to the family. Rye was a six-pound mini Australian Shepherd who was six months old when these photos were taken. He is a lover who loves kisses and belly rubs. Rye’s favorite foods include salmon and cheese! 
His favorite toy is a plush lamb he came with, but he isn’t picky. He is a diva and has to sleep on something fluffy.
He usually takes over all the dog beds I have bought for his brother and always needs all the attention!
Remy joined our family two years ago when I decided out of nowhere that I needed a puppy. (Luckily, I have the best husband who puts up with my crazy.) Remy is a 27 pound Mini Australian Shepherd who is 11 months.
Remy absolutely adores other dogs. He is always trying to make friends with all, big or small. Remy is too smart and too stubborn for his own good, but that makes him the best watchdog who never lets me out of his sight. Remy is so kind and loving and allows his little brother to share his toys, food, bed and even lets him bite and pull so hard he takes his hair with him when they play.
Remy’s favorite toy: salt stick or any stuffed animal he can tear apart. His favorite food: anything and everything!!”

Australian Shepherds are such wonderful dogs. I didn’t know the breed was scaled down too. Either way, I love those guys.
