I am a big fan of black and white photography and was so excited to see these gorgeous dog portraits from Erin Cruise Photography in Fairfax, Virginia. Her muses for this session were her two dogs, Poogie the Frenchie, and Lexy, the Staffordshire terrier. Although big dogs usually win the drooling category, Poogie is a first-class bubble blower!
From Erin: “These are my dogs! They are the loves of my life. So the Frenchie is around two years old and is just such a goofball. He is afraid of everything but loves people and dogs. He slobbers anytime he sees food as depicted in some of the photos.
He’s a really cuddly friend and my family picked him out of his litter when he was a puppy because while all the other puppies were being crazy, he came and sat on my sister’s lap. His name supposed to be Renaldo, but my family affectionately calls him Poogie because when it barks, it sounds like he says ‘poog.’ 
The other dog is 12, and we got her when I was a kid. She is a Staffordshire terrier, and her name is Lexy. She loves swimming, chasing Poogie, and begging for lots of food. Lexy definitely thinks she’s more of a human than a dog and expects to be treated as such. She lost her tail to cancer, so she kinda looks like a piglet but is such a cutie and is a very sweet dog.”
