Having grown up with a Bullmastiff, I admit I’m partial to big wrinkly dogs. However, even if you aren’t a big dog lover, I think you’ll agree that these photos of Myla, the Dogue de Bordeaux, from Erin Cynthia Photography are stunning. I hope these photos will inspire you to get some professional photos of you and your pet.
From Erin: “Meet Myla, a gorgeous female Dogue de Bordeaux. Her human contacted me to ask if I would consider a last-minute session for her while she is still well. Mila was diagnosed with Lymphoma and is undergoing chemo currently. She is so sweet and gentle and absolutely adores her human momma. You’ve got this, Myla!”
From Katherine: “Myla is a beautiful Dogue de Bordeaux who just turned four years old on December 17th. Myla was born in Upstate, NY, 2016. I fell in love with her when I saw her and her brother. I was about to take both, but my husband calmed me down, and we settled with just Myla girl. She has been with us since she was three months old. And she has been my sweetest girl ever since.
I am a hiker, so she started coming with me on short hikes since she was a puppy, and she’s been loving it ever since.
Within the first two years, I noticed her love for other doggies, so then we rescued her brother from another mother: Crazy Charlie, a Dobbie mix who keeps her on her paws. They both have been inseparable ever since.
At just shy of turning four years old, she was diagnosed with Lymphoma, and our world was crushed. We decided to try chemotherapy as she is still young and very much a fighter. As much as I love her, I wanted to have a professional capture her beauty and her innocence that shows through her eyes. She is such a sweet soul.
Myla loves being outdoors, so I decided to do an outdoor portrait session.
So far, two months into it, and she’s in remission but still needs to complete her 5 to 6 months of treatments. I know by doing chemotherapy, it won’t cure her illness, but it will give us a bit more time with her here on earth. We enjoy the love she gives us and will do what we can to give her the best quality of life that she deserves. So now we will continue our adventures together as long as we can. I am a Mastiff mom, and I have to admit Dogues de Bordeaux are definitely by far the sweetest and kindest dogs ever. She’s truly an Angel and always will be.”I’m sending tons of healing vibes to Myla and hope she has many cancer-free years!

Myla is absolutely beautiful. It saddens me to hear of her cancer, but I am praying that with treatment she can beat it and have many more romps in the water and on the trails with her human ♥

I too have a weakness for large dogs. There is something so gentle about them which your photographs captured wonderfully.

She is sooooooo awesome! So glad she is in remission, and hoping the treatments continue to go well. Big wrinkly dogs are the best!

Myla is a beautiful dog and I hope that her cancer treatments continue to go well. I love her cute wrinkly face. My daughter’s dog, we can only guess her breed, has wrinkles around her nose area. We assume she is boxer mix. She has the traits of a boxer too. I’d love to try this type of photoshoot with her. My Yorkie wouldn’t sit still for something like this.
