If you are in need of a mid-week smile, this dog-friendly e-session from Kate Spencer Photography is just the ticket. Mia, the Red Labrador Retriever, loves being with her humans and is very photogenic.
From Kate: “This was such a fun engagement session to capture. Mia is such a good girl and loved to have her photo taken! Mia enjoys duck hunting, paddle boarding, and running! Ashton and Rob picked Mia because she wasn’t like the rest of the puppies in her litter.
Ashton and Rob met one summer in their hometown just two months before Ashton was set to move to five hours away to begin her full-time career. They fell in love quickly through their love of the outdoors, adventure, and duck hunting. They decided to continue their relationship long-distance for a year and a half and dreamed of living together and getting a dog to hunt with them.
After a couple of moves, they finally landed in their first home together and decided to get a puppy. It just so happened that a close friend of Ashton’s family just had a litter of red lab puppies. They traveled to Texas to find their girl. Mia was a natural choice for them. Not only was she the runt of the group, but she also has two white paws – a trait most lab owners would overlook. Ever since they brought home their special girl, she has been the center of their lives and the most spoiled dog in the house!”
From Ashton: “Mia is our little girl from Texas, and she has a big attitude and love to match. She’s a pretty unique pup with her white paws and her liver-colored nose, which are what drew us to her. Mia easily became such a large part of our family that we knew our engagement photos wouldn’t be complete without her. 
Mostly because everything we do she does with us, including riding on the paddleboard. She loves checking out what’s going on from the water and being able to jump in and swim whenever she wants. Although she is an adventurous pup, she loves to cuddle up with us just as much. Not only does Mia retrieve ducks and geese, but she’s going to be our flower girl too! Mia stole our hearts from the beginning, and we can’t imagine doing something without our Texas girl!”
