Georgia photographer, Kasie Tanner, is primarily a wedding and portrait photographer in Georgia, however, she also takes some great pet portraits. Of course, her favorite pet muses are her pups, Maggie and Violet, the Labrador Retrievers.
From Kasie: “We’ve had Maggie, our black lab since she was a pup. She’s now four years old and we love her so much it hurts!
This past winter, Maggie had her first litter of puppies and we all fell in love with one of her little chocolate babies. Violet has been so sweet and snuggly from the beginning, so, of course, we had to keep her!
As a puppy she is going through the usual Lab stages of life- CHEWING! Nothing on the floor (nor the window sills) is safe!!
Not even her bed! Pray for us as we push through these first few YEARS! Ha!
Dog hair is a regular additive to our wardrobes and we may or may not have strategically bought a house with darker hardwood floors to help camouflage the tumbleweeds of fur in the summer, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
I can’t imagine our family without our girls!”

I grew up with chocolate labs all through my childhood. They were hunting dogs so we weren’t allowed to play with them.

Lab retrievers are the best especially when you have kids. We got the the opportunity to take care of four of them, our neighbor let our kids pet sit them during summer time.
Awww, they are so cute! I love labs myself. It’s one of the breeds that I would love to have myself. We don’t have any dogs, just cats, but I would love to get a lab someday.

Our first Lab was a black girl named Maggie as well! She was actually a mix, but she looked totally Lab. She was so special and we didn’t have her long enough. Someday I’d like to have a chocolate Lab as well. These two are so beautiful, and such great examples of one of my favorite breeds. ♥
