After a long and dreary winter, I’m ready to skip the spring mud and fast forward into summer. Since we can’t do that, these sunny and flowery family portraits with dogs from Yesenia Bocanegra Photography might help. Penny the St. Bernard mix and Peter the Australian Shepherd posed and played with their humans in beautiful fields of flowers.
From Yesenia: “Kate and Cody wanted a portrait session for their pups, Penny and Peter. We did this session at Raleigh’s famous sunflower patch. Penny is a St. Bernard mix and Peter is an Australian Shepherd.”
From Kate: “Peter is a full Australian Shepherd from Seattle, Washington and he loves snuggling with humans and fetching tennis balls.
Penny is a rescue pup from Saving Grace Rescue Center here in North Carolina. She is a little bit more of a loner than Peter, but she loves it when we have little kids over – she likes to roll around on the floor and lick them. Penny’s other passion is ripping up her new dog toys as quickly as possible and leaving the remnants strewn across the house. We believe Penny is half Collie and half St. Bernard. They are both 4.5 years old, and they love playing, going on long walks with Kate and going on runs with Cody on his skateboard.
They can often be found wresting or playing tug of war in the back yard. Both dogs are Therapy Dog certified through Canines for Therapy and received their training at Teamworks Dog Training in Raleigh. They have been to lots of events together and enjoy serving their community alongside their humans!”Follow Yesenia Bocanegra Photography.
