Best (Wedding) Dog: Ghost | Inspired Styled Shoot

While it may be a while before we gather for weddings,  these beautiful images from Landrum Photography are sure to inspire.  Nicole from Sirpilla Soirees and some talented vendors put together this gorgeous Boho-styled shoot with a Siberian Husky, Ghost at the beach, the Bohemia Overlook.

Although Ghost lent his modeling skills for the shoot, he does not belong to the models in the photos.   A key element in including a dog at a wedding (or a photoshoot) is having someone to look after the pup.  Tiffany and Tehya from Furever & Fur Always specialize in wedding day dog care.

From Tiffany and Tehya: “Ghost was the perfect fit for the shoot at The Beach. His beautiful demeanor fits wonderfully with the trendy boho vibes. When thinking “Boho,” usually the concept of unique, artsy & creative comes to mind. It was different and fun to have a Siberian Husky modeling on a beach. He did an excellent job with the help of squeaky toys and treats. Ghost Pupperton was two years old when he modeled in this styled shoot.”

From Jessica (Ghost’s mom): “For as long as I can remember, I have been asking for a puppy for Christmas. For as long as I can remember, Mike told me no. But on Christmas morning in 2016, I was helping my best friends’ dog (Captain) open up his box of toys that we had gotten him. At the very bottom was a framed picture of the most adorable husky puppy. Mike then told me that the little guy in the photo was our new baby boy. We picked him up at the airport on January 24, 2017. When we walked into the building to get him, I could hear him crying out. They handed him to me, and it was love at first sight. Ghost sat on my lap and snuggled with me the whole way home.

He is a creature of habit. Ghost loves new toys, but he is entirely loyal to the very first toys we ever purchased for him – even though they are missing all of their stuffing and have basically been ripped up and turned inside out.  The first toy we ever gave him is basically a rag at this point, but it is his most favorite toy. 

Likes:

• Stealing our socks and collecting them in a pile near his toys
• Taking his toys outside
• Laying outside when it is cold out
• The dog park
• Going for walks
• Bacon and cheese
• Peeing on chairs at the dog park

Dislikes

• Being too hot
• Being left out/ not getting attention
• When other dogs are in his house touching his toys (they can play in the back yard though)
• Baths
• Wearing costumes or hats
• eggs without cheese

When we brought Ghost’s new baby brother home in May, he was super excited to see us but didn’t react much to the baby. But then the baby woke up and started to cry, and Ghost was very concerned. He kept trying to jump up on the changing table to see what was going on. For the first few nights, he was so concerned with his new brother that he never left our sides. Ever since that day, he has been much more clingy, especially to Mike.

Ghost made friends with the foxes in the neighborhood and takes his bones outside for them.  He will not jump into a swimming pool – but he loved the ocean. His favorite place to hang out in the house is in the window, where he will wait for you until you get back home. However, Ghost is the worst guard dog. He doesn’t bark at anyone – ever.
