Dogs are family. If you don’t already have some awesome photos of your dogs, I hope you’ll get some soon! Thanks to Melissa Dunstan from Tangled Lilac Photography for sending these photos of Oswald.
Oswald lived a rich, full life, and I know that he’ll always be remembered and loved.
From Melissa: “Jennifer got the news that all of us with furry family members dread to hear…her beloved Oswald only had a few weeks to live.
Oswald has been with Jennifer all over the world and even enjoyed living in Germany for a while with Jennifer and her husband. He was there when they found his doggie siblings, Macy and Panda Bear, and there when their daughter Ava joined the family.
For a soul that has shared so much, it’s hard to even think of saying goodbye. But therein lies the only fault with our animal friends, they have such short lives. However, their time with us brings us so much happiness, so much unconditional love, so it’s the price we pay to have them by our side, if only briefly. I was so happy that Jennifer reached out to get these photos of Oswald.
Among a field of sunflowers, at the base of the San Francisco Peaks, we laughed and cried at what a special boy Oswald is. I know that in the future, these images will provide some tears and loving memories of the spirit who first captured her heart. I hope your final days are filled with love, belly rubs and all the bacon you can eat, sweet boy.
After spending only a couple of hours with you, I can see why your family adores you so much. Truly, when you do go to heaven, you will add one of the brightest stars in the sky. Much love ~ Melissa”

TEARS!!!! I don’t know if I would want the warning. 🙁 I do hope everyone takes tons of photos of their pets. I sure do.
They may not be excellent photos like these, but they will still mean the world to me. We lost FOUR pets in the last two years – two of our pups and two of our kitties. It is so hard to lose members of our FAMILY. Love to Oswald and his family. XOX

Oswald was such a gorgeous dog! These photos are so fabulous, I’m sure his family will treasure them forever. It is the price we pay, having these blazing bright stars in our lives for only a short time. Every one is so precious.
