It has been nearly three years since Theo came home from the shelter. Ever since day one, he’s been the perfect dog for us (which is different than being a perfect dog.)
He makes us laugh every day; he’s always ready for a good snuggle, a swim, or a game of tug. But I’m pretty sure his favorite parts of the day involve food. In addition to breakfast and dinner in his puzzle toys, Theo gets treats throughout the day. I insist on high quality, made in the USA treats for my dogs.
I am always on the lookout for fun and new treats for my dogs, so I was excited to learn about wholesome Nudges ® Dog Treats.
While Theo enjoys a cookout as much as anyone, these cute treats are ready to eat right out of the bag. I consider these treats to be all American and not just because of the shape. Using beef, chicken, salmon, and duck that are sourced in the USA, Nudges are made in the United States and meet all pet food and safety regulations. Without any fillers, corn, soy or wheat they are perfect for Nelly too. For the record, my dog Sophie loves them as well.
I hope you can appreciate the self-control that Theo showed. For years, I’ve been telling him to “wait” when I give him his food. Waiting for special treats is a whole other ball game. I am so PROUD of him for being able to do it for this shot, with those treats! However, once Theo heard me say “Okay,” those treats disappeared!
Nudges are a high-value reward for my dogs. And although they look big, they are soft and easy to tear into smaller pieces.
Nudges Sizzlers and Grillers are affordable and available from Walmart and other retailers. Visit Store-Locator to find that has Nudges® Wholesome Dog Treats near you.
Dogs make every day better. Show them you love them with belly rubs, a soft bed, and wholesome treats. On your next visit to Walmart, stop by the pet section and pick up a bag or two of Nudges® Wholesome Dog Treats. Then visit Nudges® Dog Treats on Facebook and share your dog’s photo!

Theo is absolutely adorable. Great job being able to wait on eating his yummy treats! We don’t have a dog right now, but our good friends do. I’ll make sure to tell them about Nudges.
Beth says
Thanks Shann!
Catherine Short says
I’m very surprised he was able to wait for these photos! We had corgis growing up and they never could wait for food. HAHA.
Beth says
I was so proud of him because he has had some food issues in the past. He was a greedy eater. He’s come a long way, and he loved the treats.
Lauren says
I’ve never heard of these before – I’ll have to check them out! Your dog is adorable!!
Beth says
Thanks 🙂
Carleen says
Love your photos!Theo sure does look ready to dig in and eat!
Rochelle says
Theo is ADORABLE and those treats look delicious! Henry is similar: his world revolves around food. Theo is such a good dog to wait (and that tongue shot after is perfect!) So cute!
Sherri says
I think I also tweeted this… fortunately my Victor is picky and that includes treats. So he only eats the good ones and weight is not an issue..
Rachel says
I bet my dog would love these! Theo is absolutely adorable.
Jane says
Theo is such a cutie! Love his little bandana, goes perfect with the whole cookout theme! That’s great that these treats are made with meat sourced in the USA.
Beth says
I’m not very particular about a lot of things, but I think when it comes to dog food and treats, location matters!
Tenacious Little Terrier says
Good job, Theo! Waiting for food is hard especially when they’re super food motivated.
The Daily Pip says
I am so impressed with Theo’s restraint – not sure Ruby would have been able to resist. Nudges sound delicious and I love the shape and that you can tear them into smaller pieces. Adorable pictures!
Valerie says
You are so well behaved!! Waiting nicely for your food!! And btw, you look SOOO handsome with that bandana!! Gosh, my dogs would die for some nudges right now!! 😀
M. K. Clinton says
Bentley and Pierre love Nudges treats too! Theo sure looks happy with them.
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
These photos are so cute! How fun that you had a grill out. Glad you enjoy those treats, Theo!!!
Sadie says
They look delicious! I love the wording ‘the perfect dog for us, not the perfect dog.’ Darling.
Talent Hounds says
Theo is so cute and he sounds a lot like Kilo the Pug. Very food motivated so wait was a hard behaviour to learn and OK means GONE. The Nudges Treats look and sound yummy and good quality. Kilo would love them.
Robin says
These treats look very meaty! They are perfect for letting your dog participate in your barbeque. 🙂 It had to have been hard for your dog not to eat them all before the photo shoot was done.
Beth says
I was super proud of him! He adores food, especially tasty treats.
Lola The Rescued Cat says
You have such great self control, Theo! These photos are beautiful.
Sweet Purrfections says
Love your theme for this review. Great photos and now I’m hungry for a hamburger.
Beth says
Thanks, Paula, I hope you got a burger.
Elizabeth Keene says
What a handsome and jovial boy Theo is! I LOVE him! You both hit the jackput three years ago, I think.:) I know my dogs would not be able to sit with those treats so close and not eat them, much less smile so big. They’d be gone!
Sally Hummel says
What wonderful photos!! Theo’s little bandana looked like a bib for a pooch ready to dig into that skillet for his snacks!! Rugby sometimes guards around food, so I can’t always get those kind of cute photos!!
Cathy Armato says
I love your photos! That pic of the Nudges in the skillet is fantastic, makes me want to grab a bun & eat one myself! I’ll have to try these

I adore how you photographed them in the cast iron. I think we’ve had these treats once when the dogs were younger, they made excellent high value rewards. And they’re one of the very few treats from Walmart that I trust! Glad you covered how they’re made without fillers!
Christina A. says
I have never lost a dog but I have found one! Our neighbors lost their sweet dog last year and the neighborhood collectively looked for and found him!
Colleen Maul says
Yes, I have lost my dog baby and he was never found. it was horrible.
