Jessica Cobb is one of those pet photographers who not only manages to beautifully capture the physical attributes of a dog, but also their personalities. I may have developed a little crush on Lilly the Maltipoo and her sidekick, Tia. It makes me so happy to see these photos, I can only imagine the thrill that their humans got from them.
From Jessica: ” Beth and her sister are good friends of mine from Florida, and when I first met them, they were NOT all about dogs! Until they got one and it was all over. Lily was their first dog, and when Beth got married, she and her husband adopted Tia. Lily was such a ham for our session, and I do mean a total ham!
She loved the camera and of course, the camera loved her. Tia, on the other hand, was a little freaked out by the strange lady with the black box that kept pointing it at her.
We got some great shots in the beginning of her on the bed and then she had enough. It took some downtime to focus on her sister Lily and some relaxing with Mom on the bed before I could get some more shots of Tia. She definitely preferred to take backstage to her sister and Lily didn’t mind that one bit. It was fun being able to spend time with a good friend that I hadn’t seen in awhile as well as get to do what I love. Win-win for everyone involved that day!”
From Beth: “I have been Lilly’s mommy since she was two months old, and we are best buddies. She is only 7 lbs but as fierce as a lion when it comes to protecting her mom and her treats!
Lilly is very intelligent to the extent that I forget she is a dog. She and I have a mutual understanding of each other, I know exactly what she is ‘saying’ and she knows exactly what I am saying and feeling. I love coming home because she greets me as if I had been gone for years!
Lilly is a little pup with a huge amount of personality and brings so much joy to our family! My husband and I adopted Tia almost two years ago from a local rescue organization.
We really did not know much about Tia, but she pulled on our heart strings with her big brown eyes and sweet disposition. It took about a year for us to really get to know her because she can be very shy and aloof but now I have a very loving relationship with her. Tia is my snuggle buddy and is never afraid to ask for attention!
She has turned into such a loving, loyal dog that I cannot imagine not having her as a part of our family.”
