It is easy to get lost in the bright and colorful graffiti in this lifestyle dog session from Simone Epiphany Photography, but don’t forget to read Micah’s story. She has overcome adversity to become a wonderful companion!
From Simone: “Sarah contacted me wanting to do a session with her dog, Micah June, who she adopted from Austin Pets Alive a year ago. She told me about Micah’s rough past including being shot and how it caused her to be very distrusting of humans. As I was bent down petting Micah Sarah told me how a year ago, she wouldn’t even let Sarah pet her and the fact that she was letting me love on her as soon as I met her, was an amazing improvement. A little love in a dogs life can go a long way! I had so much fun photographing them together at the Hope Gallery (Aka Castle Hill) Graffiti Park in Austin Texas.”
From Sarah: “Micah June is a quiet love bug, diligent hunter of food treasures, and a true nature lover. Y ou would never believe that she was so scared 3 years ago that she would not even leave the couch, walk on hard wood floors, or let anyone touch her without extreme body shakes. Micah was an abused and scared baby girl, but with the help of Jen German and the Dogs out Loud program she was able to make amazingly brave strides. She was adopted from Austin Pets Alive but Dogs Out Loud was the go between. They work with dogs with extra issues. Get them into foster asap so they don’t have to live at the shelter. Micah is sometimes called the UN because she can get other dogs to get along that wouldn’t normally do so.
Micah June was adopted almost two years ago and has been loved on by so many. We can’t wait to see where she goes from here. Probably on a hunt for pringles.”

Graffiti shoots can be so cool! I wish I knew where to go around here to do something like that!
