As I’ve mentioned several times, fall is my favorite season. You can see why when you look at this gorgeous session by Central New York pet photographer Alice G Patterson. The colors are glorious and Eden is having what looks like the-best-day-ever for a Black Lab!
From Alice: “I met Nicole while photographing a small business that she worked for at the time. I knew we were kindred spirits when she started talking about her dog, Eden. Eden is a cherished member of the family. I love photographing these everyday moments that are such an important part of their lives.”
From Nicole: “Eden is a black English Labrador Retriever and she will be 2 in April. She was one of three in a litter born to our good friend’s labs – so we still see her dog mom and dad from time to time! She has really unique coloring and marking – Alice did a great job of capturing that!
Eden completed our little family of three.
We met her when she was 18 hours old and visited her once a week if not more and so she had our scent and knew us from the very beginning. The three of us do just about everything together! She travels with us, goes on many car rides, and – while we resisted for several months – snuggles in our bed at night with us. To be honest, she dominates the bed, preferring our expensive memory foam pillows to the end of the bed!
Looks like Eden might be a Taylor Swift fan. Her theme song: Shake It Off.
Eden has a best friend named Moosie…Moosie accompanies us on many car rides too and I often wake up with Moosie on my face in the morning!
The love that the three of us share is amazing. Eden is a sweet puppy who loves to give kisses, sleep with her snout on your face, and slide into snow banks, and we’re so thankful to have her in our life!

I’m pretty impressed that Moosie is in such good shape. I had a lab growing up and although he had some favorite toys he didn’t treat them so well. It’s no wonder Labs are so popular; they’re such friendly, loyal, reliable companions. Our lab was the best dog you could ask for as a child; he was my gentle best friend. Beautiful photos.
Theo destroys all plush toys in about 15 minutes or less. I wish he would just keep one nice! Sophie really loved a special toy until the day Theo got it… 🙁
Jen and Beth – Moosie is Eden’s baby; she rarely destroys her toys but has a few plush toys – Moosie, an alligator, and a kitty – that she loves to snuggle on car rides and in bed. SO cute!

Love the photos they are amazing, wish my puppies (16 and 5) would stay still for long enough for me to press the camera button lol.
