Life is mysterious and sometimes unfair, but luckily there are a lot of fairy tale endings. Cosmo has had more than his share of ups and downs, but finally found a soft place to land. Thanks to Jessica Cobb Pet Photography for sending me this heartwarming session.
From Jessica: “I love Cosmo’s session because he is a rescue pooch and let’s face it…..who wouldn’t enjoy seeing that face! Cosmo is a bulldog mix, about ten years old and had been returned to the shelter a couple of times for various reasons until his new owners, who are also volunteers at the shelter, fell in love with him and decided to take him home to live his days in comfort. He was adopted from the SPCA of Luzerne County in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This guy is a true couch potato and about as lazy as they come. His owners have to bribe him with a dog treat just to get him off the couch and outside to potty. And they love every minute of it! I love a happy ending!”
From Nina: “Cosmo (aka Kilo) was dumped at the SPCA (where we volunteer) in December 2011 because his family could no longer afford him. He was 8 years old and since I have a soft spot for the seniors, I would take him out every time I was there. He was always so happy to be out of his cage and we enjoyed our times together, little did I know he would be coming home with us one day!”
Six months passed and Cosmo had 2 failed adoptions and zero interest, then fate took over! Sadly our 8 year old Rottweiler Brody passed away and we were heart broken. We didn’t want another dog right away but Cosmo was being overlooked and we worried about him holding up in the SPCA.
We decided we had to give him a chance and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. He is such a sweet affectionate dog and though I saw those qualities at the shelter during our visits, it was multiplied upon him coming home. I guess 3 times really is a charm, his 3rd adoption will be his final. Cosmo is 10 now and he is our heart dog. He came to us in a time of need and yet he thinks he was the one who was rescued.”
