Once again I signed up for Pet Bloggers Gift Exchange and I was matched with Jess from You Did What With Your Weiner? Besides having the most hilarious blog name ever, I was super excited because Jess and her dachshunds, Chester and Gretel, are awesome! Although Jess takes her own photos for her blog, these photos were taken by Matt Pool Photography.
Jess is an outdoor enthusiast and she takes her dogs on many adventures. Besides going for walks, Jess takes her dogs hiking and even snowshoeing! Chester is the black and tan dachshund. Jess inherited him from a roommate.
She later adopted Gretel from Motley Zoo. Gretel had anxiety issues and some aggression towards men. Eventually Jess found out that Gretel is a victim of dog flipping. Poor Gretel was sold as a puppy, then resold at a profit, to an unsuspecting couple. She was not a good match for her new family and they had the good sense to turn her in to a reputable rescue. The woman who flipped Gretel, also sold at least 20 other dogs. She falsified veterinarian documents saying that animals were up to date on vaccinations and had been spayed without knowing if it was true. If for some reason, you are thinking about purchasing a dog from an individual, PLEASE do your research and make sure the person is ethical.
You’ll want to follow Jess and her dogs’ adventures on Facebook. Jess also heads up The AdventureWeiner Club in Seattle. You Did What With Your Weiner is full of ideas to help keep dogs fit as well as product reviews and giveaways.
Inspired by these 2 cuties, I started a new Pinterest board: Dachshunds.

Not only is it a great name, but YDWWYW is fabulous for encouraging people with small dogs to have the same great adventures big dogs are having.
Thanks so much sharing Jessica and her wiener dogs with us in the Pet Blogger’s Gift Exchange.

YDWWYW is an absolutely awesome blog, and Jessica is a fun and fantastic person. (I have been lucky enough to meet her in person, and she is seriously awesome.) And her pups are so freaking cute.
Great post, and thanks for joining us for the gift exchange this year!

I need to find new sweaters and coats with little legs for my doxies. One is getting up in years (please don’t tell her I said that). The other one is new to me, he was abused in last home and we are still learning each other. But, he shivers when he gets just a little cald.
I live in Nebraska and we get high amounts of snow. I try to shovel areas for them however, my age does not allow me to do too much shoveling anymore.
Well, back to the point! If you could help me find something with legs, it would appreciated.

Your best bet would be to ask on Jessica’s blog, she is really knowledgeable about Doxies!
