Happy Tails: Deuce

Celebrating seniors is an idea that I love!  Charlene from Custom Portraits by Charlene offers Devoted Hearts sessions which are specially designed for senior pets or those that are terminally ill. Handsome Deuce is getting on in age, so his family decided it was time to get some  wonderful photos.

From Kristin:   “Deuce actually just had his 11th birthday in August.!  He is our family dog, but he has seemed to always taken a liking to me, and follows me around closely.  He is super obedient, listens extremely well, and we never need to use a leash!  Everyday we walk him on the trails behind our house, and although he knows the area extremely well, I guess he just doesn’t feel comfortable going too far ahead, so he always waits until we’re close enough for him to continue on.  I truly couldn’t ask for a better dog.  

 Deuce’s mother Copper, our first family pet, recently passed in January of 2012, it was hard to get through our first loss, but we’re thankful to have a little part of her with Deuce.  So I’m happy to say that he’s been with us since day one!  Deuce is a doberman-lab mix, and weighs in at a whopping 150 pounds!  But no need to be intimidated by that, he is probably the biggest baby you’ll every meet, and I adore him for that!  He walks around like a body builder, but he wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
