I was looking back at some of the adoptable dogs that I have featured and many have been adopted. Sadly, only two from my original post on Karma Rescue have found their forever homes, so I thought I would share these gentle dogs again with you. While I understand that most of my readers aren’t looking to adopt, I am hoping you will share them. Each of these dogs were picked to be featured here because of their sweet and easy-going personalities.
Karma Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization run entirely on charitable contributions. Karma Rescue saves dogs from high kill shelters. Each animal receives medical care, behavioral and socialization training when needed and is placed in a foster home until permanently adopted. Karma Rescue is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this weekend.
Here are just a few of the wonderful dogs available for adoption through Karma Rescue. All of these gentle dogs are neutered, up to date on shots, housebroken and friendly!
Kai has been working with a great dog trainer in LA. He is very good with other dogs and kids.
From Kai: “I’m about six years old (June 2013). I have been through training with one of the best trainers in LA. I am looking for a companion that will help me to keep up with my training. I’ve recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test and received my Canine Good Citizen Certification! I am eager to please and would like a home that provides consistent training and structure. I am such a lover…I love everyone I meet. My perfect home would have a balance of love, leadership, and family. I hope to find that soon!”
Noah loves running on the treadmill!
From Noah: “I was rescued from the shelter by Karma Rescue because they could not pass up a big softie. I’m great on the leash, and I make friends easily. I’ve recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test and received my Canine Good Citizen Certification! I’m currently living in a great foster home that gives me lots of love, walks, and I even learned how to walk on the treadmill! I’m an easy-going fella. I am crate trained, and I have good house manners. I’m looking for a home that will appreciate all I have to give and give me lots of love in return.”
Chloe is very well mannered, listens well, and loves to exercise! Chloe is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Pit Bull mix and recently received her Good Canine Certification.
From Chloe: “I’m a petite girl, and I’m about six years old (June 2013), and I’m a love bug. I’m a fun gal who loves to play. I have great manners, and I listen to my people very well. I’ve recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test and received my Canine Good Citizen Certification! I really enjoy exercise, and to me, there’s nothing better than spending the afternoon hiking! I thrive in a home with exercise and structure.
I’m looking forward to becoming a part of a great family soon…I can’t wait to meet you!”
Ollie loves to be outside with his foster family: hiking, walking, rollerblading, they do it all!
From Ollie: “I’m quite the outdoorsman as I love outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, running next to a bicycle, skateboard, and even rollerblading with my favorite friends! I walk perfectly on a leash, right by your side! I’ve recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test and received my Canine Good Citizen Certification! I’m a great listener, and I know basic commands such as “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “off.” I’m VERY affectionate with people, and I love to make doggy friends! I am looking for a home that will continue to provide me with the structured environment that I thrive in.”
Karma Rescue reminds us, “Pit Bulls are energetic, loyal, intelligent, fun-loving, and affectionate. They need intelligent, responsible, and dedicated leadership. Because of the breed’s undeserved negative media image, human companions living with a pit bull have to be more careful and responsible than the average human-dog companion.”
Karma Rescue is based in Santa Monica, California. Be sure to like Karma Rescue on Facebook. For more information about Pit bulls, please check out StubbyDog.org.

How do I contact you about adoption.
I live in Huntington Beach, California. I saw the picture of Chloe. She looks like a wonderful dog. I just lost my mixed pit yesterday after a wonderful 15year relationship. I want to adopt a dog that will be a great companion, who loves to retrieve tennis balls and wants to be loved and cared for. Please e mail me your telephone or e mail.
Thank you, vicki

Hi Vicki,
I’m so sorry for your loss and so happy that you are ready to love another dog again! I’m going to email you some information about adoptable dogs. I’m not affiliated with the rescues, just spreading the word about some great dogs looking for homes. If you are looking for a senior dog, Lionel’s Legacy has many amazing dogs.
