Theoretically, spring is just around the corner. Thanks to Stephanie Madeline of Chase & Snap Pet Photography for the perfect teaser for warmer weather! These photos really make me smile. Scruffy is a super cute Miniature Schnauzer and words don’t do him justice, but these photos do!
From Stephanie: “Scruffy was adopted from the New York City Animal Care and Control about 9 months ago. His people say he was shy at first, but warmed up to them eventually. Now he is very playful and friendly with everyone, photographing him was a blast!”

There is NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Scruffy is just the cutest lil guy!!! I just cannot believe this dog came from NYC ACC — not that they don’t have amazing dogs coming from that place, but that anyone would give ol’ Scruffy up! And these photos are just beautiful!
I would love to make Scruffy the model for a CharlieDog — but we’re just scaling up. It could be awhile :0)

Scruffy was a stray dog picked up by NYC ACC at the Bronx. We’ve had him for about 10 months now. He was not in good shape when we adopted him. He was underweight, had alopecia on parts of his torso, and he had flaky skin. We took him to the vet immediately and learned he has Cushing’s disease. He’s currently taking medication for it but other than that he’s healthy and happy. We’re glad that we gave him a home.
Angel, I am so glad that you were able to help Scruffy get healthier and bring out his potential! I am sure he is glad as well, and its an important reminder for people looking to adopt dogs. Just because they look a little worse for wear, doesn’t mean they will stay that way. You did an amazing job with Scruffy!
