If there was ever a dog who looked like she could let you know that Timmy fell down the well, it is Mora. She isn’t a Collie, but rather a Sheltie and Aussie mix. However, when I look at her expressions in these photos from Tangled Lilac Photography I get the feeling that she’s super intelligent. Mora is an unofficial service dog to the special needs dogs in her family.

I volunteer each year for the fundraiser, and it’s always a ton of fun!”
From Katherine: “Mora is a year and a half old Sheltie/Aussie mix and quite the love bug. She keeps an eye on our two Australian Shepherds with special needs; she is Zane Grey’s ears, and Kooper’s eyes and ears.
Mora loves agility and is super fast!
We adopted Mora from the Coconino Humane Association and are very blessed to have her in our pack!”

She’s gorgeous, and she reminds me of my previous dog Carter who was an Aussie mix. And the funny thing is he was the laziest/snuggliest dog I’ve ever owned, despite being a herding mix. (which I was told was going to be a lot of work/physical activity)
I guess breed characterizations are only part of it, it all comes down to personality. He sounds like he was amazing. I love lazy, snuggly dogs.

I came across this picture of Mora on the internet and was stunned – she looks EXACTLY like my dog who recently passed away. Seeing her made my heart melt. I got my dog from a rescue, so I never knew what exactly her breed was. Now I know she was a Sheltie-Aussie. I miss her dearly. I wish you many wonderful years ahead with your beautiful Mora.
