Happy Tails: Stitch

As far as my sisters and I are concerned you can’t go wrong with a Pug.  This happy family session by Thomas Pitera Photography will brighten any day.

From Erika:  “Stitch is a 4-year-old black pug rescued from the animal shelter. Cowboy is an almost 11-year-old fawn pug the family has had since he was a puppy. David, Andrea and little Violet rescued Stitch just this March. At the time, he was underweight and suffering from some untreated eye injuries. Now, he’s filled out quite nicely, but they suspect his eye ulcerations have caused him to lose his sight in one eye. He doesn’t let it bother him, though!”

From Andrea:  “Stitch is a very cute and sweet little dog. He is very gentle and tolerant. He likes to chase his tail and play fetch. I am still working on teaching commands, but he is catching on. He snorts and snuffles a lot and also snores. Silly things on the TV will get his attention and he will go running over to it to bark at and watch whatever it is that got his attention. He is also protective of my daughter in the pool. Every time she gets in the water he barks like crazy and wants to jump in trying to get her out. 

Cowboy is a true gem of a dog. He has been a part of our lives since he was a puppy. He is an extremely laid back and good natured dog. He is very gentle, friendly, tolerant, and easy going. He is very motivated by food which has enabled me to teach him several tricks. He snorts, snuffles and snores, though not as loud as Stitch. He is just an overall great dog!”
