Happy Birthday, Pixel! Today Pixel from A Pair of Pears turns one. On Sunday he had an awesome birthday party and I’m thrilled to share some of it with you!
From Jamie: “Today is the day our little guy was born. What an amazing year it’s been! We love Pixel so much, and are so happy he’s in our life. We have loved watching him grow. It’s hard to believe how little he used to be, but he is still as cuddly as ever. Size doesn’t matter to him (or us).”
Jake and Jamie Bartlett are graphic artists who specialize in branding and custom paper goods. I’m so impressed with the details of this dog birthday pawty!
The doggie bag tags and the hot dog menu are free printables that you can download from A Pair of Pears. The invites will be available in their paper goods shop soon too!
As if the papers goods weren’t enough Jamie also came up with a DIY treat jar!
And she generously is sharing the instructions here for the Daily Dog Tag readers.
Supplies
A glass jar with a lid
spray paint
frosted glass spray
full sheet sticker paper
Xacto knife
dog treats
Directions
Step 1: Spray paint the lid of the jar.
Step 2: Print out your desired text on the sticker paper.
Step 3: Carefully cut out letters with an Exacto knife and adhere the sticky side to a jar.
Step 4: Spray cut out area with the frosted glass spray. Let dry and then gently peel off the paper.
Step 5: Fill with dog treats and/or toys for the furry guest of honor.
One of the genius things that Jake and Jamie did during the first year of Pixel’s life was taking a photo every month, in the same chair (which received a fabulous makeover) and the same bowtie to really emphasize how much he has grown.
This is Pixel at 8 weeks and then at one year of age. Check out all his watch-me-grow photos on the A Pair of Pears blog.

Very cute; and I always love a doggy DIY project! I especially love the closing images with the sided by side portraits of Pixel as a puppy and then all grown up on the same chair. Super adorable!

Oh my gosh, this is so adorable! I love the name Pixel for a dalmatian. Thank you for sharing this cute DIY, too!

I love the last photo with the growth comparison on the same chair and with the same outfit! So precious.
